Cogeneration in Europe and the U.S.

CU-Denver Executive MBA Team

Tour of Coors Cogeneration Facility in GoldenTen CU-Denver Executive MBA students conducted an analysis of cogeneration and produced a final report that explained:

  • What cogeneration is;
  • Why cogeneration is so much more efficient than conventional thermal electric generation;
  • The use of cogeneration in Europe compared to the U.S.;
  • Why cogeneration is more prevalent in Europe.

CESC has helped the students scope the project and has arranged for experts to present information. CESC arranged for Coors to provide a tour of the advanced, highly efficient cogeneration facility at the brewery. The students will spend one week in Europe in May, talking to cogeneration experts and visiting their facilities before completing the final report.
